For this week’s Touch Base in Seoul, our guest from Germany is an assistant professor of ethnomusicology at Seoul National University’s Department of Korean Music.

She completed her Ph.D. on the traditional Korean music genre Pansori, and was trained by National Intangible Cultural Property No. 5 disciple Min Hye Sung.

She has also performed Pansori pieces in both Europe and Korea. She joined Korea 24 to tell us more about Pansori, her time as a performer, and her career in the traditional music field.
