꼬리 - [n] tail, the part of an animal's body that protrudes from its rear end, or a trace or clue left by something or someone.
밟히다 - [v] be stepped on by a foot or feet 
semi-polite: 꼬리가 길면 밟혀요 

>> This expression metaphorically refers to the fact that no matter how long you try to do something bad in secret, if you keep doing it repeatedly for a long time, you will eventually get caught. 
>> In this expression, “tail” does not refer to a physical tail of an animal, but rather a clue or trace left by something or someone. 
>> A similar English proverb is “the fish will soon be caught that nibbles at every bait”
