Korean-American J is a 3rd generation singer/song writer. She resided in the US until she was discovered in a beauty pageant as Miss Washington for Miss Korea regional in 1995. Her winning streak didn’t stop there and she went on to win a talent show held at her school and won the Korean-American song contest that the same year. ‘J’ then came over to Korea and made her debut with the 1st Album ‘Gold/Blue’ in 1998 and secured a distribution deal with BMG Japan in 1999. She released a series of singles in Japan through the year 2000 and released her 2nd album ‘In Love’. In addition, scoring numerous #1’s in the domestic charts releases an English version album ‘Chocolate’ and awarded a ‘Golden Disk’ at the A/V Award to list just a few. ‘J’ who possesses an attractive yet soulful R&B voice and the beauty to match, quickly became a favorite amongst all music fans and her never-ending appeal as performer is hard to be matched especially for those who aspire to. However, after a string of success she decided to return to the U.S. to study music at the higher level and attends Jodie Sellards Vocal Studios in West Hollywood, C.A.
The singer released a digital single in 2006 and sang the duet “Perhaps Love” with HowL for the theme song of the popular drama “Goong/Princess Hours”
In January 2007, the singer took a step in a different direction with the release of a CCM album, In My Life.
She is back with a new single Through Tears, which is already climbing up the local charts.
