Prosecution Requests Arrest Warrants for 2 Ex-NIS Chiefs

The prosecution has requested arrest warrants for two former National Intelligence Service(NIS) chiefs who served under the previous Park Geun-hye administration.

Nam Jae-joon and Lee Byung-ho are suspected of providing more than four billion won from the agency’s special activities budget to the presidential office through the impeached president's aides.

In addition to the charges of economic crimes, bribery and power abuse, Nam is also suspected of obstructing the prosecution’s investigation into the National Intelligence Service's meddling in the 2012 presidential election.
