North Korea has once again shifted the responsibility to the South Korean government for its decision to cancel its plan of sending a cheerleading squad to the Incheon Asian Games.
North Korea’s state-run Rodong Sinmun claimed that with the cancellation, the opportunity to improve the strained inter-Korean relations and promote national unity has evaporated.
The North Korean newspaper said that Pyongyang had to decide not to send the cheerleading squad due to South Korea’s unfairness. It criticized Seoul for taking advantage of the international sports event to push its agenda in the inter-Korean conflict.
