Shim Eun-jin was formerly a member of female dance group Baby Vox. As the lead singer of the band, Shim performed well in not only vocals but also rap and dance. Adding to her role as a singer, she also actively took part in various entertainment shows as MC and actress. Born in 1981, Shim Eun-jin made her debut in the pop music world in 1998 as a high school student. Shim was recruited as a new member of Baby Vox who had been suffering a failure right after releasing its debut album. With great talents in both singing and dancing, Shim was one of the powers that led her band to a successful career. From its 3rd album “Come Come Baby,” Baby Vox began to pursue a sexy image. Unlike other members who focused on emphasizing their sexy images, Shim Eun-jin distinguished herself with a healthy and boyish image. Since 2001, Baby Vox enjoyed its heydays all around Asia as one of the stars of the so-called Korean Wave. From then on, each member of the band started performing individually alongside acting as a band. Shim Eun-jin, Kim Ee-ji and Yoon Eun-hye were most active in pursuing their career as individual entertainer as well as performing as a band. Shim Eun-jin gained more popularity by appearing on various shows and trying herself out as a reporter for new programs and writer for radio shows. Utilizing her popularity gained through various activities in the show biz, Shim Eun-jin left the band Baby Vox and debuted as a solo singer in 2005.
